As team guidelines change, rules and CLI tooling must be updated. Doing so manually results in local drift and deprecated rules configurations across different developer workstations.

  • --dry-run: Check for updates without executing download logic.

🔍 3. How it Works (Under the Hood)

  1. Performs a git pull on your global DNA repository (stored at ~/.sprawl/core/) to grab upstream rules improvements.
  2. Checks pipx/pip repositories for the latest published versions of the Sprawl CLI engine binary.

  • Authentication errors during update
  • Resolution: Verify your git credentials and SSH agent linkages before updating global DNA repositories.
